great stuff! not many people can finish a full song's worth of animation solo. It's not an easy task and you executed it very well i thought. I'll prob watch again because i've never heard the song before and i think this video is very fitting.

everyone stop being stuck up... you've voted 5 on things with half as much talent as this. This piece could not have been done by just anyone so i hope you all see that and vote fairly.

to be honest i'm a bit confused to how this entry lost the battle, his must have been pretty damn crazy to top this, especially if it's unfinished. but back to this piece.

Great work, smooth animation the dialogue was a bit out there but not unenjoyable to any degree. I will agree that i didn't quite follow the who's and whys but i did see a good fight and thats what this was about.

anyway good luck in the future and keep on making these crazy animations.

it's pretty cool seeing this right after just watching your latest "Link and Navi" and this is why.
(please do not take this as a bad thing)
but you can tell you are fresh into the program in this one, you can tell with some of the methods you used to animate it. BUT you can also see that you were pushing all the tools you did have to their fullest, which is awesome. Great piece you have here and a nice marker on your progress in animation.

it's great to see that you've improved in such a short span of time and are producing front page material. Keep it up! you are obviously more than capable and i hope you continue to push yourself.

"WORLD OF JELLY?"

clearly inspired by "World of Goo" (which is a great game) except instead of pipes you get a "hydra" head that looks an awful lot like a trouser snake.

the physics are a bit off and i didn't even get through every tutorial level mainly because it didn't quite throw me the hook i needed to keep playing. That mythic smoke was very obnoxious and it didn't tell you what he wanted to eat so i just stopped there. Obviously you put time and effort into this it just needs serious polishing. people are right though, make sure a game is thoroughly tested before releasing it to the public.

i remember seeing this when it was on the front page with weekly second. I can't believe i haven't reviewed it yet. If you look back to what the quality of flash people were making in 04 you'll see this is way ahead of it's time. Even watching it now in 2008 i'm so impressed. You executed everything perfectly. You added enough nostalgia for all forms of fans of the Blue bomber, and for those unaware you gave them a action packed short flick.

"Great Game"

you Obviously put a lot of time and effort into this game. You can't go wrong with the "kirby" ability steal concept, especially when you juice it up with your style. Although the movement feels a bit sluggish it's a solid game. The creativity and functionality of the special abilities in the game made this player happy. Becoming a "roomba" vacuum cleaner or a spewing garbage ball, how can you complain. speaking of which Please don't listen to the harsh reviews who can't see the good in anything... Any flash animator/artist would know in a second that you put a bunch of time into this and it's just ignorant of anyone to say otherwise.

aside from the few glitches (punching gloves staying on after power up is complete, player positioning on top or under objects switching sparatically) and the somewhat slow character movement (maybe add a sprint button)
i have to disagree with the "i hate being on top of the person to eat/inhale their ability"

you have to realise that eating something is considered an instant kill, even on some of the harder hitting and heavy health enemies. SO being able to take their power and instant kill should be something you have to somewhat work for.

anyway keep it up... sorry for the length of the review just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents.

you are putting too cute a face on a grim situation. Unfortunately the humor is in the wrong area. It's slapstick but failure in trying to do something awful. Suicide is a tough one to take lightly but it can be done in comedy, you just do it the wrong way. Your not making suicide itself funny and or your not giving the viewer the idea that it's the wrong thing to do. You just have someone incapable of finishing the job, and the sick thing is in the end she does die and i'm supposed to be happy about that or what?

great job art and sound though. the animation was Very clean and for all those who like that style i'm sure they loved this. i'm not trying to bash you though because i know ... i KNOW it took time and effort to put that together, and it did come out clean smooth and polished so i'm not docking you at all for that. It's just the message being sent isn't hitting the right spots in my books. You are taking suicide and slapping a happy face on it without using humour effectively to cover that up, or to make it fit the "sick" appeal.

anyway you're a great artist so keep it up!
